Harvard Double Championship 🏆🏆

Huge congratulations to Team YV for their dominant performance at the 48th Annual Harvard National Forensics Tournament, the biggest tournament of the season. With 22 competitors across 4 different events, the Youth Voices Team secured tremendous victories across the board!


In Congress, Youth Voices emphatically captured a historic double championship, with Allen Xu championing the middle school division alongside our President Zach Wu, who championed the high school division. Alongside newly-crowned Harvard champions Allen and Zach, the Congress Team additionally advanced four students to semi-final and final rounds: Emilie Fann and Andy He cleared to semi-finals and Michelle Xiang and Emily Zhang made the final round, placing fourth and twelfth respectively.



The Youth Voices Congress Team is coached by Nick Chen and Zach Wu.


In JV Lincoln-Douglas, Aiden Wang and Kyle Wang cleared to triple octafinals with 6-1 prelim records, seeding them both within the top-10 debaters of the tournament.


In Middle School Public Forum, Rachel Zhang and Chloe Ma took three wins in their first tournament, just one shy of outrounds, in a field of over 280 teams across the world.


The Youth Voices Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Teams are coached by Sumeer Benawra.


In Extemporaneous Speaking, Hannah Leong had a strong performance in preliminaries against the top high schoolers in the nation, missing breaking by just two ranks. The Youth Voices Speech Team is coached by Justin Cooper.



Congratulations again to all of our competitors. We are beyond proud of all of the hard work and dedication our students put into this tournament.
